How We’ve Changed the Design Process for Homeowners and Builders
There are many misconceptions about what we as home designers/remodelers do. Many think that the process is only for the wealthy that subsequently spend outrageous amounts money on pricey goods marked up by absurd percentages.
This couldn’t be further from the truth.
In reality, we save you money. Save you from being stressed. Save you from being frustrated. Here is why:
1. Discounts (Who doesn’t love a discount!)
Furniture stores from Restoration Hardware to the “trade only” offer discounts to designers that range from 10% to 50% off. Also, crafts workers like tilers, painters, carpenters, and flooring specialists who often work with your designer will give us the best price, they know your designer will give them more business if they do great work and are reasonable.
2. BANG for your buck
We love the challenge! If you are on a budget we have the gift to use your budget to good use. If the $8 square foot tile is too pricey, we find the same look but perhaps at $1 a square foot. Can’t afford brand new cabinets? Sometimes a fresh coat of paint and new hardware can work for your kitchen or bathroom makeover.
We give you the expensive look without the expense.
3. Time IS money
We offer sketches, mood boards or 3D drawings on how your space can be improved. We create a plan including a timeline, a budget, and a list of priorities. You know exactly where your money is going with no surprises. How many times have you dealt with contractors not really knowing if this is what you really want, how much the project will cost or if this is the right thing to do with your space? Contractors, how many times have you dealt with clients and have no idea what they want?
4. Impress people, especially potential buyers
Everyone loves an aesthetically pleasing picture. If your home is eye candy, people will want to buy the candy. The value of your home increases, showings increase, and that results in an exponentially faster sale. A faster turn-around equals faster money in your pocket.
5. Contractors to remain focused on completing their projects without getting wrapped up in the design details. Everyone develops certain expectations, but may not have any idea on how to get to there. Emotions play a big part in the development of a project design as well. Having your client work with a company such as ours, you the contractor remains effectively focused on executing the scope of work.
Feel better? Now let’s make your dreams come true!
